This was an unexpected surprise. I came for the fish and grits after a long drive. The food was amazing.. I almost feel like I have to make the 8-hour drive for the grits.. better yet can you mail me more? Best I've ever had and I was raised on grits ❤️. This was a great meal it's a cute bar atmosphere the wait staff was attentive the food was fresh and hot it wasn't greasy it was spilling this was definitely a good meal I don't know why I expected it to be less-than-stellar I don't know if it's the atmosphere or because it was in a strip mall but it was really good.

The food was awesome! Great atmosphere and great service! Love the name and meaning behind it. We visit here from Georgia for my husband to have surgery at a local hospital. It's definitely a place we will revisit every time. My husband still talks about the fried green tomatoe sandwich! 😀

Fried catfish was veeerrrrryyyy tasty. Wife also enjoyed red beans and rice, noting that they were a pleasant surprise. Further, she annihilated the pecan cobbler. I don't really eat cobbler, but the ice cream on top was delicious. Overall, great experience.

Food was great. The turnip green balls were the hit for us. The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Would definitely go back.

Bayou Catfish (with grits) pictured. The group had a good time with good food. Not very far from my hotel but further out than I'd like to make it a regular spot. That said, Madison is a nice, developing area with ample amenities.
